Job Description

Apply today to join our team as a Respiratory Therapist in Lodi, OH.  This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to fill their schedule, while helping our rural patients as our staff therapist.  Here's the best part, you work day shift every other weekend, and one night shift/week - 20-24 hrs a week. 


Responsibilities:



  • Diagnostic Home Sleep Testing device setup or PAP therapy fitting and instruction all conducted in the in the patient's home.

  • This position may lead to full time position including weekly office hours at a a local facility for in-office setups and / or physician assistance.

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures as defined in the respiratory / sleep care services scope of clinical practice. Work performed in accordance with physician orders. Defined duties are performed in pediatric and adult patient populations.

  • Perform pulse oximetry monitoring. Assure correct set-up, safety and function of all equipment/ supplies necessary in the provision of patient care.

  • Makes patient care assessments according to accepted protocols. Provides education to patients and families.

  • Monitors response to all therapy. Documents in the patient medical record. Communicates all pertinent clinical information Participates in quality improvement activities. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of respiratory and sleep equipment.

  • Completes other activities as assigned.

  • Knowledge necessary to make appropriate clinical decisions and interactions relative to the specific age of a patient.

  • Skills validation/certifications of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.

  • Must maintain annual skill requirements

  • Must maintain annual safety/compliance requirements

  • Must maintain valid Ohio licensure requirements for CEU's customer service and communication expertise.

  • Work involves contact with patients of all ages, family members, physicians, nursing, and all other members of the health care team.

  • Work is performed in a large geographic area inclusive of western Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

  • Work requires walking, climbing and bending.

  • Candidate will set his or her own schedule and be responsible for patient contact by phone, email or text as appropriate.

  • This position does require extensive driving.... as it's in Lodi, OH; therefore, a reliable vehicle, valid Ohio driver's license and proof insurance are required.


Qualifications:



  • Completion of a 2 or 4 year AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or Bachelors) or currently enrolled in an AMA approved Respiratory Care Program, and registry eligible.

  • Ohio State Licensure.

  • RRT by the National Association for Respiratory Care (NBRC) if graduate.

  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

  • CPR (BLS), ACLS preferred.


Compensation:



  • The position is paid on a per setup reimbursement schedule along with mileage and an hourly rate for preparation and patient scheduling.

  • The delivery and pickup of equipment will coordinated with the company's delivery personnel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
